Friday- Went to Madrid for the weekend and enjoyed the night at one of their best clubs Kapital a seven story club. It was great going to a club this big again the nightlife is crazy as well in Madrid so we didnt get there until about 1am. I enjoyed going to the club with my friends Lissette, Ronak, and Kylie. We went to all seven floors of the club, at the bottom floor was the biggest crowd but all the floors were fun. The bottom floor had a fog machine that blew really hard cold air fog at you and this would make the crowd go crazy.
Saturday and Sunday- Explored and shopped in the city of Madrid. Unfortunately we did not go out Saturday night but we did go out to dinner. I tried a paella that I finally liked and it was amazing. We did a lot of shopping in Madrid because the stuff is much cheaper there than in Barcelona and it is less claustrophobic shopping in Madrid then in Barcelona.
Monday- Went out to the IceBarcelona and also went to the beach clubs. IceBarcelona is a bar made entirely out of ice. They provide you with a shiny silver jacket and gloves because of the temperature. Everything is made out of ice even the cups in where they serve you your drink. I had a strawberry daiquiri and it was good. At first I could stand the coldness, I mean I'm from Iowa, but after about 35 minutes I started feeling my feet hurt because they were very cold. We left and headed to the beach clubs where we club hopped and had a blast dancing all night. One thing I like about the beach clubs is that they play hip hop and reggaeton.
Tuesday- Went to Parc Ciutadvella with Katie, Kristen, and Claire. Had a fun time walking around and looking at the monuments as well as the big elephant monument. We got to see the Arc de Triomf.

Puros Chupitos(shots)....
Over the weekend I had fun but waking up late in the afternoon after a night out on Saturday I needed to do something today after school. I always have a three hour break in between classes so today i just decided to go shopping and explore a few stores. After a long day at school I made my way back home to try to get some sleep before I went out with some friends. I started getting ready around 11pm as me and my friend Vanessa were going to be going to Espit Chupitos, which is the local bar known for having over 500 shots. We ordered anything that had fire in it, roasting marshmallows, setting the shots on fire, to setting our thumb on fire then sucking the fire off our thumb. It was great, during that time Ronak and Kylie, two more friends joined us there as well. We had the Harry Potter, Boy Scouts, Nipple, Boy Scouts again, and finally topped it off with El Chupitasa (you have to experience this in order to know how it feels). After hitting the bar we made our way to the beach club strip known as Port Olimpic where all the hip hop and reggaeton clubs are at. We hit up about 8 different clubs on the strip getting in for free in every single one as getting free shots at every single one of the clubs. It was great not having to pay to have such an amazing night. For it being a Tuesday night the clubs were all right although some did need more people but we had fun getting in for free, getting free shots, and also asking for our own music at some of the clubs. As the night went on we made our way up to the top of the Olimpic area to catch a taxi little did we know it was almost 5am. Well about 20 minutes later it started pouring so waiting for the metro was not going to work anymore. We took a cab and I ended up getting home at about 6:30a.m. 2 hours later I would have to get ready for class. In my Spanish class I could barely stay wake but I managed.

Give me Everything Tonight (Barcelona)
Saturday- Started my day getting ready to go to Park Guell with some friends. Unfortunately, we could not find each other so I thought I had got there 20 minutes late but they got there like an hour late so we missed each other without even knowing it. In this case I would usually not go by myself but I decide to explore the city alone, I'm in Barcelona, need to get as much in as possible. I made my way to Park Guell on the metro, when I arrived to my destination I did not know where to go so I just followed the crowd that was in front of me. Luckily they were all going to Park Guell, two blocks down and around the corner I saw...I looked up and saw the steep narrow hill we have to climb to get to the park. It took about 20 minutes to get to the top of the hill which was guided by some escalators, whihc did not take you directly up to the park, you had to get on the escalator for some then walk the other part, this happened about three times so walking and escalator would switch on and off. As I took the last steps to get to the park I noticed the beautiful scenery behind me of the city of Barcelona. Walking down the path that make their way around the park I was constantly taking pictures of everything. I had never seen a park so incredible as this. All the Gaudi architecture around the park, all the green plants around the park and some amazing musical talents as well. The park took about two hours to get through the whole thing, it has many entrances and that is why people start in different parts so there is no right or wrong way to go, you just make sure you get to see everything. After the park I made my way to the souvenir shop and then made my way back home. Later in the night I got ready to meet up with some friends to enjoy the nightlife Barcelona as to offer. We met up and went to two bars, Taverna and Espit Chupitos. After the bars we headed down to the beach clubs where there are dozens of clubs and you will find what you like. We hit up a few clubs about 4 or 5 and to my surprise a lot of them played reggaeton, bachata, and hip hop. This is my spot in Barcelona. After dancing for a while we ended up leaving at 5:15am but when we were getting ready to go home I decided to go back by myself and see the sunrise on the beach as that is what one of my goals here is. I went back and hit some more clubs up for like the last 45 minutes and then went on the beach and saw the sunrise. The beach was incredible and there were quite some people there. After the sun rose I made my way back home and went to sleep. 10 hours later I wake up and its 5pm. Well there are pics posted to see how my day went. Hope you Enjoy!!!

Jungle Trek and Beach Altafulla
Today I went to the Jungle Trek in Tarragona, Spain. The jungle trek consisted of many different obstacles done up in the air. There are many different levels in which you can start most people start at the beginners which is blue, I was following Ronak and Kylee little did I know that they were going to the advanced part of the obstacles. We started and I saw the height of these obstacles, I was scared as hell but I had no choice but to go because the only way you could get to the ground is by going forward. We did three colors orange, red, and brown, which are the hardest. I ziplined backwards having to pull myself across, I ziplined forward swinging through the jungle, I crossed bridged with only a rope to hold onto, I tightroped across many the jungle many times. It was very fun and I did things I thought I couldn't do but I accomplished them all especially my fear of heights. At one point my ziplining rope came undone while I was ziplining because I had gotten scared so I was holding on to the two safety harnesses and the zipline thing and I accidentally pushed the ziplining thing in and it came undone so it was open but I was still going. I had never hung on to something so damn hard, I was not going down not in Spain. Let me tell you when your scared you do things that surprise the hell out of you. Overall I liked the Jungle Trek and the moving trees we had to stand on to get from obstacle to obstacle. After the jungle trek we went to a nearby private beach called Playa Altafulla. The beach was gorgeous and very relaxing. It was the first time I had set foot on a real beach and by the Mediterranean Sea. I did end up getting a stripe on my arm that is sunburnt, so now I have one random stripe on my arm.
